Skype for Mac and PC

Well I am going to have to give this service a try. Skype will let you make calls from PC to PC or from PC to regular phone. The call is encrypted so it is secure from end to end. This also works on mac and pc so gives you lots of people to try this out with.

I am hoping that it works pretty well as it would be fun to be able to voice chat with friends and relatives without having to call on the phone. The one drawback is that I now have voip from AT&T which makes calling most people I know included in the monthly. My cell phone also includes long distance so not as useful for me.. If my wife gets some friends in japan using it that would really be useful.

This app also lets you do file transfers and instant messaging which is nice.
